Animal Shelter Supply Drive
The UMYF is sponsoring a supply drive for the local animal shelter during the month of November. The Newberry County Animal Shelter is an important part of our community and is always in need of supplies. All donations need to be at the church by November 29.
Items of need: dog / cat food, dog / cat treats, dog / cat toys, dog / cat water and food dishes, cat litter and litter boxes, blankets / towels / rags, paper towels, cedar shavings for kennels, bleach, carrying cages for dogs and cats and any other donations that you think may be needed. Monetary donations are also MUCH appreciated to help with veterinary care and other care for sheltered animals.
Church Cookbooks
The new church cookbooks have arrived! The cost is $10 each. See any member of SOC or the UMW to purchase your copy.
Thanksgiving Eve Service
Our thanksgiving eve service will be Wednesday, November 25 at 7PM. The Chrismon tree will be put up immediately following the church service. All help is greatly appreciated.
Christmas Program
Anyone interested in participating in the annual Christmas pageant is asked to sign up on the sheet in the narthex no later than November 8 or you may contact Elaine at 803-276-9938.
The first rehearsal will be held on Monday, November 23 at 7PM. Future practices will be discussed at this time.
The christmas pageant will be held on Sunday, December 20 at 6PM. A covered dish dinner and visit from Santa will follow immediately in the fellowship hall.
Relay for Life - Christmas Tree Ornaments
We are selling ornaments in honor or memory of your loves ones and friends during the holiday season. We are selling Angels of Remembrance and Starts of Hope. The cost of each ornament is $2 and they will be displayed on our tree in the fellowship hall. You may let Emily or Elaine know how many, what type of ornament, and and the name it should be displayed in by November 22. All proceeds benefit Relay for Life of Newberry County.
