Ministries

Chancel Choir

Practice is usually held on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 in the sanctuary and as needed.  Contact Ella Margaret Rawls or Alice Davis for more information.

 

Bible Study

Bible study is held every Wednesday at 7:00 PM in the fellowship building.  Please contact Pastor Goldie or Marilyn Rawls for information.

 

Sunday School

Sunday school begins at 10:00 AM every Sunday morning with assembly.  New Hope offers classes for people of all ages.  Contact Lee or Elaine Bedenbaugh for information.

Special Worship Services

During Lent, Easter, and Advent, New Hope offers special evening services. In January we traditionally participate in evening community services entitled "January Journey" with area churches and the Newberry Area Council on Ministries (NACOM).

 

Vacation Bible School

An important part of the continuing Christian education program at New Hope is vacation bible school.  It lasts one week, usually during June.  Contact Elaine Bedenbaugh for more information.

 

New Bodies Exercise Class

Meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:15PM in the church fellowship hall.  Offers a variety of workouts and aerobics to people of all ages.  Contact Emily Livingston for more information. 

 

Church League Softball

New Hope joins with churches of several denominations each summer to form Men’s and Women’s teams for the church league at the Pomaria ballfield.  Contact Shane Livingston for more information.

Outreach Opportunities

Each summer, members of the congregation participate in Salkehatchie Summer Service.  Members of our church also participate is mission trips abroad.   We participate in many local charities such as the Woodyard Fund, Manna House, and Helping Hands Food Bank.  The UMW assists many overseas missions. Contact Marilyn Rawls for more information.
